Plaza Premium Lounge expands in the Philippines at Mactan Cebu International Airport

New Domestic Arrivals Lounge and Playroom at International Departures Lounge offer unrivalled airport hospitality

Plaza Premium Lounge has continued to expand internationally with the opening of a Domestic Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 1 at Mactan Cebu International Airport in the Philippines. This lounge is Plaza Premium Lounge’s second location in the airport following the lounge located in International Departures, Terminal 2, which is now the second international location to introduce the brand’s new Playroom concept. Playroom is a dedicated children's zone developed in collaboration with Masterkidz for family travel as part of Plaza Premium Group’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of travellers.

The 3,000 square foot lounge is open 24 hours to offer a variety of services, including comfortable seating, shower facilities, Wi-Fi, recharging stations, complimentary magazines, newspapers and TV channels, as well as food & beverages complemented by a live cooking kitchen. The lounge is divided into three main zones: Lounge, Dining and Business.

Meals are prepared upon order in the live cooking kitchen, with the following signature dishes:

  • The Filipino Affair (Coconut Curry Chicken)
  • Sweet and Sour Catch (Sweet and Sour Fish)
  • Get Your Tapas On (Cured Beef Tapas)
  • Pata-Brava (Crispy Pata) 
  • When Adobo Met Patis (Pork Adobo)

Dedicated business cabin seats have a high back and enclosed wraparound arms, providing privacy and comfort. Influenced by the Spanish design found throughout Cebu, the lounge architecture incorporates traditional arch-shaped mirrors. The lounge also features bankaray, a locally-sourced wood material, which is used as vertical planks on the walls, adding a distinct look and texture.

Playroom introduced at Plaza Premium Lounge International Departures, Terminal 2 (Mactan Cebu International Airport) 

Plaza Premium Lounge’s location at International Departures, Terminal 2, Mactan Cebu International Airport has introduced the brand’s Playroom in collaboration with the international toy brand Masterkidz. ​ 

As part of the company’s commitment to family travel and sustainability, this partnership brings a dedicated children’s space with educational toys that spark the imagination. Masterkidz is an Australia-based company that designs and manufactures high quality wooden toys that are ethically sourced, educational, durable and safe. The toys are produced using FSC-certified European beech, Canadian wood, and other eco-friendly materials (such as water-based paint). In upcoming months, Plaza Premium Lounge plans to introduce a series of children's programs at select Plaza Premium Lounge locations.
